For data in transit, encryption safeguards the data as it moves between systems, preventing interception or unauthorised access. For data at rest, encryption ensures that stored data, whether on servers or cloud storage, remains inaccessible to unauthorised users. Together, these measures form a triad of security alongside Confidential Computing, addressing all aspects of data protection in cloud environments.
